The dealership

Automobile manufacturer Skoda has opened a new branch in the Danish town of Helsinge. The new building features a showroom as well as a warehouse for spare parts, service kits, tires, and tools. Safe storage required a racking system that is flexible with a wide spread.

To ensure safety and gain a uniform appearance, META employees installed the single-tier META CLIP shelving system. The shelves with a load of up to 100 kilograms can hold 1500 small parts. A shelf load of 250 kilograms is used for heavy goods, allowing up to 200 large parts to be stored without any problems.

The task

Both small and large automotive spare parts were to be stored at the new dealership location. The shelving racks employed were therefore flexible with the ability to adapt to the required load. To ensure safety and gain a uniform appearance, META employees installed the single-tier META QUICK shelving system. The shelves with a load of up to 100 kilograms can hold 1500 small parts. A shelf load of 250 kilograms is used for heavy goods, allowing up to 200 large parts to be stored without any problems. The racks were also equipped with dividers and plastic boxes to ensure optimal structuring of the warehouse, while the back paneling ensures maximum stability.

As automotive spare parts of any size may be stored at the new dealership location, shelves with different rated loads were required.
