The challenge and the solution:

Due to the company's successful marketing and strong growth in Florida's construction industry, a new manufacturing facility is being built with efficient material handling and storage solutions. META assisted CGI Windows & Doors in the design and implementation of storage solutions for this new 330,000 square foot facility in Hialeah, which includes META CLIP boltless shelving systems, META MULTISTRONG cantilever shelving and META MULTIPAL pallet racking. META products provide CGI Windows & Doors with approximately 50,877 square feet of optimal storage space.

META CLIP boltless shelving offers quick and easy installation that saves both time and money. Covering an area of over 2,906 square metres, the system offers 1,344 shelves for the efficient storage and organisation of smaller window components. Shelf height can be adjusted in 1" increments. The system is designed so that additional shelves can be added to accommodate CGI's future growth.
The META MULTISTRONG cantilever racking system provides horizontal storage for aluminium extrusions and other raw materials needed to manufacture windows. The system features 20' high racks with a floor area of 35,137 square metres. These racks can support heavy loads without difficulty. Each bay of the system is cross-braced to ensure the stability of the high racks. The system consists of both single-sided and double-sided cantilever racking for optimal utilisation of the allocated storage space.

The facility also features a META MULTIPAL pallet racking system and a META MULTIPAL A-Frame racking system, which is equipped with dividing arms for easy storage of heavy-duty windows. These racks allow products to be stored lengthways or crossways over an area of 12,834 square metres. The closed box profiles of the racks ensure stability to withstand high loads. The beams can be adjusted in vertical increments of 2". META products are very easy to install and extremely flexible, allowing customers to adapt quickly to growing and changing market requirements.
