Tech-Con Romania is part of the internationally active Tech-Con Group with a presence in Central and Eastern Europe and specialises in products, systems and solutions for the industrial automation market. In 2024, the company decided to relocate from an existing site to a new, modern production and logistics centre in order to sustainably optimise its own production and logistics processes.

The central starting point for the new site concept was the idea of focusing on warehouse technology. The racking system was to serve as the basis for the entire space and process planning. On this conceptual basis, production areas, storage areas and logistical processes were to be structured and efficiently coordinated.

At the beginning of 2024, Tech-Con Romania began its search for an experienced partner to plan and implement the warehouse solution and, after intensive market research, opted for META. META supported the project as a reliable partner throughout all project phases. The services ranged from on-site analysis and technical advice to the design, planning and implementation of the racking systems and subsequent after-sales service.

The new production and logistics centre used META MULTIPAL pallet racking, a two-storey META CLIP shelving system including pallet transfer station and integrated steel construction solution with staircase as well as META MINI-RACK profile storage racking. The storage solution was specifically tailored to the production and logistics requirements of Tech-Con Romania.

Special requirements such as the consideration of regional seismic conditions and compliance with the planned storage height were taken into account in the planning and technically implemented. The racking systems were installed within three weeks and impressed with their high adherence to deadlines and professional execution.

The storage solution realised by META makes a significant contribution to making the logistics processes at the new site more efficient and to sustainably strengthening Tech-Con Romania's competitiveness in the industrial automation market. The partnership-based cooperation resulted in close project integration, in which META was perceived as an integral part of the project and contributed significantly to the realisation of a modern, efficient production and logistics site.
